We all see it every time we turn on the television, listen to the radio, or open up a magazine. Those flowery claims of micro-sculpting, sun kissed rejuvenatorified essence, diamond sparkle radiance, and so on and so on. Ever ask yourself what all these terms really mean? Usually, they have no real meaning and are designed to “sound good”. If a product has real results, why would they need to make up words to try to sound good? Maybe you can relate to what we have heard so many say:
I get so tired of trying the “latest and greatest” thing on the market just to find out it doesn't work. Now I am stuck returning yet another assortment of products. Have you ever tried to return this stuff, what a nightmare!
What does “sun kissed” actually mean anyway? I am trying to stop the affects of the sun, not get kissed by it!
I have real skin issues and have tried so many products that make huge claims, but when it comes down to it, I still struggle with my skin, just with less cash in my pocket and a counter covered with a bunch of products that will go into the trash (unless I take another hour and package it up, pay to ship it back, and hope to get a partial refund sometime in the next century!)
Who do these people think I am? They come out with a new “product” every few months and give some nebulous reason why I should use it. It looks, sounds, and unfortunately acts like a thousand other products I am bombarded with every time I walk through the department store!
I am a chemist by trade and what a lot of these companies do not tell you is that their ingredients (if good for my skin to begin with) evaporate almost as soon as the package is opened. I seldom find a single ingredient thats has any beneficial properties for my skin, but even if they do, I am lucky to get a few seconds of any benefit on my skin!
